Asset Flooring Group recommends the use of walk off mats in commercial building doorways. Effective removal of dirt and moisture from pedestrian footwear makes the matting system ‘a must’ for entry areas at shopping centres, retail outlets or any other commercial building which is lawfully required to provide ‘duty of care’ to large daily volumes of foot traffic. The other purpose is also to protect vinyl floor coverings from long term wear caused by grit underfoot. Some matting products offer Pedestrian R12 Slip Rating and 5 year manufacturer’s guarantee.
